PSBA Parent Message, Nov. 17, 2011

From PSBA:

Thank you for continuing to reach out to your member of the House of Representatives. We have 6 more session days in the Senate and 9 more in the House. As we reported this morning, voucher/charter/EITC expansion legislation could move in the House Education Committee and the House of Representatives prior to the Thanksgiving holiday. Today is a non-voting session day and the House will likely be wrapping up Marcellus Shale legislation today and moving immediately into school choice and we know that charters will be a focus.

Please email your member of the House asking him/her to oppose vouchers in any form and specifically ask for his/her opposition to any bill that expands the state authority to create new charter and cyber charter schools while neglecting the gross inaccuracies in the funding the districts receive.

The fate of school choice is in the hands of the House and we appreciate your effort to reach out to your legislator on the issue and share feedback with PSBA. Thank you!

Best,
Karen
